Morton Boats is a family owned business formed in 1987 by Peter and Paul Richards.
Initially beginning as a boat repair business, and after a successful boatbuilding operation which began in 1993 having built and marketed over 60 of our Eagle 525s (a high quality trailer sailer). The company rapidly expanded into marine retail and now stands as one of the leading individual chandlery's in the country.
Over the years Morton Boats has built up a very loyal customer base. This being achieved by offering a personal service that not only is highly professional, but also having a resounding amount of comprehensive knowledge of the marine industry.
By keeping overheads to a minimum, prices have always been competitive. This combined with a vast stock holding amounting to over 10,000 items sets the business well in various marine applications.
Morton Boats does not stand still... Now commanding a serious presence in the Dinghy Website fraternity, www.cleatsandblocks.co.uk goes from strength to strength and is aiding the continued success of the company and expanding the clientel to the far reaches of the UK and Europe.
Fun Yak brings yet another aspect to Morton Boats. Rotomoulded craft that vary in use; from Tenders to Fishing... Work-Boat to Rescue. Having the unique placement of being the Uk's sole importer of Fun Yak, allows for excellent pricing of a fantastic range of these craft.
With the inclusion of Robin Mapleston into the business, who himself brings over 25 years of Sailing and Boating experience alongside a background in retail sales and marketing, Morton Boats is set to see in another 25 years in the boating world.
